Taken outside the "Great" Saltair and with both of us still oblivious as to the actual state of the concert venue. Only moments after this shot was taken, Stephen swears he nearly dinged David Archuletta's door getting out of the car. (He drives a Ford Escape Hybrid. What a wuss.) We had it confirmed that David was at the concert, I'm still suspicious of Stephen's claims he almsto fought him.
The inside of the "Great" Saltair. There was not enough hot water at the hotel to feel clean after hanging out at this place for 5 hours. FOB and Donny's Mr. Robotica impression made the filthiness worth it this time, but be warned.
Waiting patiently on the floor of the "Great" Saltair through several mediocre punk bands for FOB and The D.O.
Surely this made it all worth it. Stephen tried to get a picture of the band with Donny, but he stuck to his side of the stage and they stuck to theirs. You can see clearly in the above picture, though, that they were all there. Pete was sporting a shiny black eye--and while he never really said where it came from, he was on the business end of several annoyed D. Osmond glances while the two shared the stage.
Stephen and Preston chilling on the flight down. Whether it was the engine noise or the minor turbulence that made the flight roller-coaster-like, Preston wouldn't stop smiling all the way down.
Anyone who knows me knows that I celebrate my birthday over a week's time. I love my birthday. So here's the good times that we had. We went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse with the Nicolaysens, and then I went with my mom and brothers to the Olive Garden the next night. On Monday we were lucky enough to fly instead of drive to Utah. We brought Preston along with us and Stephen's brother (Bret) and his wife (Laurel) watched him while we went to a FALL OUT BOY concert that night! We had such a great time. There were some crazies there, but by the end of the night, it didn't matter. Stephen parked us next to David Archuletta before the concert, and Donny Osmond was amazing up on the stage with FOB. I don't care what everyone thinks--he's poised for a comeback. Stephen had to work while we were down there so I had to go shopping pretty much all the time, it was rough. He did take most of the day off on my birthday (April 14th) and the guy took me shopping and to the Olive Garden. We really enjoyed our mini vaca and staying in a nice hotel--I enjoyed eating out all the time. Pam and Carl watched Katelyn so we could go, thanks guys! What a great week we had, I am a lucky girl.
